Drew Messey is a 2026 SS/2B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Westminster Christian Academy. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with a short stride into contact, simple load and trigger that repeated well in the games, stays balanced and compact, line drive swing with pull to mid field contact, has some projection at the plate as he gets stronger. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick feet and plays with some bounce, has lateral agility and gets to his spots, loose arm action from a 3/4's slot, made accurate throws from lower slots. Good student with a verbal commitment to Louisville.
