Kam Stines is a 2027 3B/1B/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Northport, AL who attends Tuscaloosa Co. Medium athletic build with good lower half strength. Right handed hitter, starts from an open stance with a high hand load and an inward toe tap trigger, busy hands in his load but stays timed up well, has some strength in his swing and can drive the ball gap to gap, stayed on the barrel well and has some hitting tools to develop. Performed well in game too. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, fundamentally sound movements on the dirt with a clean two hand funnel out front. Longer exchanges and arm swing and has solid arm strength across the diamond. Recorded throws up to 75 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, deep arm path in the back to a three-quarters slot. Challenged in the zone with a two pitch mix. Ran the fastball up to 78 mph (1979 RPM) with straight riding life and mixed in a curveball with traditional shape, up to 63 mph (2133 RPM). Good student.
