Colin Gallagher is a 2025 C/IF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Sparta, NJ who attends Sparta. Large, athletic build with well-proportioned strength present throughout and some projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a wide side-saddled stance and jumps out of the crouch with plenty of quickness. Displayed sound footwork with projectable athletic actions behind the dish as he gained ground towards his target. Separated into a shorter arm path and pulled down hard into release. Delivered accurate throws to the bag while recording arm strength up to 77 mph with a pop time of 1.93 sec. Right-handed hitter, starts in a narrow, slightly open stance with a high back elbow and compact, high hand set-up. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Has the ability to create leverage and carry to all parts of the field. Transfers the weight well and turns quickly to the point of contact. Showcased consistent barrel skills with easy bat speed and strength at impact. Posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. Ran a 3.99 sec thirty-yard dash. Great student. Named to the 2024 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday) Top Prospect List.
