2026 PG Sunshine Southeast Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Joey Martincavage is a 2028 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic. Lean and lanky athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 6.94 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has good bounce to his foot work in the outfield, works through the ball well, clean arm action from a 3/4's arm slot with nice carry. Also worked out at first base and is too athletic at present for that position ideally. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium and slightly open base with inward toe tap timer and a deep hand load, has good present bat speed with more to come, pull to mid field contact with good barrel control and timing, projectable hitting tools. Took a turn on the mound, works from an abbreviated wind up with a medium leg raise start and a cross body release out front. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with lots of cutting action from his delivery/release. Also mixed in an 11/5 curveball with some depth and a firm change. Excellent student. Named to the PG Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
