Lance Armijo is a 2024 SS/RHP/C/OF with a 5-5 160 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Summit. Compact stocky build with some present strength. 8.43 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense but worked out all over the field. Showed good fundamentals in the infield, gets his feet and glove in good position and has a good exchange and release on his throws, will improve with continued work on his quickness and lower half agility, second base arm strength. Showed the same type of solid fundamentals in the outfield working through the ball. Catching actions are still young and developing. Switch-hitter at the plate, has a very simple and repeatable approach from both sides of the plate, stays calm and balanced with a loose swing, gets the barrel out on time and makes line drive contact to all fields, right handed swing a bit more advanced at present. Also pitched, slow paced delivery with a short stride out front, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 71 mph to go with a soft curveball. Good fundamental player with some versatility. Good student.
