Benjamin Porter is a 2021 OF/ with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends Seattle Prep. Athletic frame with broad shoulders and beginnings of strength. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, fluid footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels ball off to side at pick up and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a three-quarters slot generating uphill carry out of hand, topped at 80 mph. Right handed hitter with a crouched, spread stance and simple front side trigger. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Displayed developing feel for the barrel while employing a mid field approach. Flashed strength at contact when squared with the ability to drive the ball through the gap. Good student.
