Gatlyn Grace is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Parkview Baptist. Athletic build with wiry strength and a lot to project on. Ran a 7.53 in the sixty yard dash. Primary short stop, plays with high energy and a bounce to his step, rounds the ball with good footwork and works through the baseball well, quick and clean transfer from soft handed glove work, moves well laterally and can adjust slot on the run, threw 79 mph across the infield with big carry behind the ball. Also pitched, athletic operation with good balance and control down the mound, shorter stride with a high 3/4 release and a loose arm, commanded the fastball well to the arm side and topped out at 77 mph, breaking ball showed sweeping action and tunneled well the the fastball. Right handed hitter, wide base with even feet set up and a high back elbow, quick hands through the zone with real feel for the barrel, maintains balance throughout, fluid bat head produced well struck line drive contact. Excellent student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
