Jonell Rodriguez is a 2027 2B/3B, SS, OF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge. Shorter athletic build. 6.61 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, shows a real quickness to the feet with solid range shown on the infield workout. Good glove presentation and works through grounders well, can change arm angles with comfort and projects well at second base long term. Also worked out in the outfield and showed active feet with accuracy on throws up to 86 mph. Left-handed hitter, higher hands and back elbow set in the stance, hands get in a deeper position during the load, works to keep the hands inside the baseball. Developing strength, can handle the barrel and impact to the pull-side. Good student with a commitment to Houston.
