Mason Kolar is a 2022 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia. Ran a 7.78 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a tall frame and athletic build. Has developing feel for a clean funnel in, bending at the waist and showing good footwork that helps keep balance through the fielding process. Shows developing arm strength, making throws across the diamond at 76 miles per hour. Has a narrow stance from the right side of the plate, with a high hand set and high back elbow. Has a direct path to contact and looks to lift to the pull-side, shows developing timing and ability to get the hands extended in the swing. Secondary right-handed pitcher that starts from the windup with a small side step into a leg lift that reaches just above the belt. Uses drop and drive actions down the mound and creates good linear direction in the lower half, showcasing a long and loose arm action from an over the top slot. Fastball up to 80 miles per hour has some natural run to the arm side, and also shows developing feel to spin a curveball with 11-5 shape at 72 miles per hour. Very good student.
