Jake Ourique is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Norwalk, CA who attends Gahr. Solid medium build with good present strength. Works exclusively from the stretch with a big coil over the rubber, medium length arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, gets down the mound well with a long stride. Fastball was mostly in the upper 80's and topped out at 91 mph, gets nice carry up in the zone up to 20" IVB, locates his fastball to all quadrants with intent. Throws a mid-70's sweeping slider with some depth and very good feel for locating this pitch as well. Kills the spin on his change up well with good arm speed. Starter profile with three pitches he throws for strikes. Good student with a verbal commitment to Oregon.
