Steven Bell is a 2023 RHP/C, SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Tahquitz. Medium lean build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, shorter arm action from an over the top slot. Works with good tempo, mid leg lift. Fastball up to 79 mph, maintains that same velocity out of the stretch. Likes to pitch up in the zone with his arsenal. Mixes in a 12-to-6 shaped breaking ball with good depth and spin. Likes to pitch with his fastball. Behind the plate, sets up in a conventional crouch and shows some quickness out of it. Gets rid of the ball quickly and cleanly. Replaces feet well, posted a 2.13 second pop time to second base in the catching workouts. At the plate, uses a wide and even stance with a simple stride trigger. Naturally lifted barrel plane through the zone with a middle of the field approach.
