TJ Schuyler is a 2023 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Antioch, IL who attends Antioch. Strong well proportioned build with plenty of room to get stronger. Has solid fundamentals behind the plate defensively, good lower half actions, big arm strength, arm is clean and accurate, game actions in drills, has the tools to excel at the next level defensively. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a good hip turn to drive his swing, short stride into contact, consistent load and timer and keeps everything simple and repeatable, middle of the field line drive contact, executes his plan well. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery, 3/4's arm slot, has some rotational twitch to drive his arm. Fastball worked up to 87 mph with some arm side running action, also threw a short slider that worked well to the glove side. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Indiana.
