2022 California Workout Showcase (Sunday)
Gavin Soper is a 2024 OF/SS with a 6-1 166 lb. frame from Tiburon, CA who attends Redwood. Young high waisted athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, charges the ball hard, has a big crowhop after a quick glove to hand transition, has good young arm strength and makes accurate one hop throws, sound defensive base to grow from. Also played infield, did not look as polished and rehearsed in his actions there, still showed some arm strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a closed off stance with a toe tap load, limited back side rotation, short line drive swing with all fields line drive contact, flashes some barrel speed with more to come as he makes adjustments and gets stronger. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
