Dylan Waits is a 2026 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends Gonzaga College. Medium, athletic build with room to continue growing into the frame. Ran a 7.20 in the sixty. Right-handed hitter, balanced and even stance with high hands, short stride out into contact, has good control of the barrel and works right back up the middle. Found the barrel in game action, showing ability to hit the ball all over the field with more strength coming as he adds onto the frame. Primary shortstop, two hand funnel out front, moves around with young actions, solid arm strength with more coming. Two hand funnel out front with quick hands and exchange. Secondary right-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, high leg lift, medium arm swing in the back to a three-quarters slot. Simple lower half mechanics with obvious projection. Lands slightly closed, generates arm-side life to the fastball, up to 81 mph (1704 RPM). Bigger shaped breaking ball in the upper-60s was mixed as well as a fading changeup in the low-70s (1241 RPM). Tremendous student. Named to 2023 National Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
