Michael Boeve is a 2020 3B/1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Hastings, NE who attends Hastings Senior. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary third baseman with sound footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and works through exchange cleanly. Showed polished glove actions with the ability to manipulate glove while on the run. Topped at 81 miles per hour showing the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Works to contact with linear lower half actions. Clean hand path to contact with a naturally leverage barrel plane. Swung with intent and looked to drive the ball with authority to the middle of the field. Flashed tight back spin off the barrel with good carry to the gaps when squared. Excellent student. Named to the 2018 Midwest Prospect Showcase, Top Prospect List.
