Julian Mena is a 2021 C with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends California HS. Very young look and build, lots of time and room to get stronger. Switch-hitter, natural right handed hitter, has a loose extended swing from the right side, swings hard and looks to impact the ball hard, good approach and fundamentals to grow from with more strength. Very early front side from the left side, mid to opposite field contact approach with less bat speed and strength. Plays both the outfield and catches on defense, fundamentals and footwork more advanced in the outfield at present, young actions behind the plate. Good student.
