Oskar Amaya is a 2023 1B/3B, BHP with a 6-2 208 lb. frame from Homestead, FL who attends John A. Ferguson HS. Recorded an 8.00 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with long limbs and lots of room to fill out. Primary first baseman with longer strides and fields with two hands out in front. Sets his feet and turns well with a longer arm stroke. Ball comes out of the hand cleanly with throws recorded up to 78 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a long and deliberate delivery. Balanced delivery with a longer stroke and comes across his body at times. Works downhill on the fastball. Big breaking ball with a lot of depth to it. Right-handed hitter with an even start and lower hand set. Smooth hands with a simple load and works to all fields. Good timing and has strength at contact.
