Hunter Barron is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 166 lb. frame from Baileyton, AL who attends Cullman. Medium build with the beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, starts from a balanced in line stance with a short stride into contact, has some bat speed and ability to impact the ball, tends to pull around the ball with a strong top hand and flashes some pull side power, has the strength to continue to develop as a hitter. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works to the ball with some athleticism, tends to get his glove down late, arm works well and makes accurate throws. Also pitched, has a big side step delivery with a compact leg raise, deep and long arm action in back, repeated his mechanics well. Fastball was in the upper 70's and thrown for strikes. Showed good field for his off-speed pitches, changed the shape on his breaking ball with some intent, tend to drop his release point on his change up but killed the spin well with some sink. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
