Owen Gott is a 2022 C/3B, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Lakewood, CA who attends Cerritos. Medium frame with a stocky type build showing strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.41 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance as he proved to be flexible while showing off his athleticism. Soft hands as he received the baseball with skills for framing. Legit catch and throw skills showing as he got the baseball out of hand quickly on throw downs. Gained ground and released downhill. Accurate to the bag as he recorded a pop time of 1.87 seconds during drills. Instincts showing for the position and projects here going forward in a big way. Secondary Outfielder, working quickly into the baseball as he took efficient routes. Quick transfer and released with intent. Carry to throws as he kept the baseball down while throwing it 86 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced with high hands before working into separation. Lands in a good hitting position before firing the hands and hips. Generates easy bat speed as he impacted out front with authority. Ball jumping off the bat as he proved he could create lift with the swing. Gap to gap type looks as he took a strong round of batting practice. Outstanding Student. Named to California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
