2024 Ohio Valley Workout Showcase (Wed.)
James Wimsatt is a 2025 SS/2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Westerville, OH who attends Olentangy Orange. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Lean frame with strength. Primary shortstop with some jump and twitch to his actions, plays with energy and has definite feel for the glove. Smooth footwork and glovework, made all the plays and showed good lateral range and positioning. Quick transfer and release, lots of things to like here moving forward. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and narrow base, utilizes a simple stride trigger. Has quick hands and present bat speed with a short swing to the ball. Gets the lower half through, showed a line drive approach and looked to pull. Was on the barrel consistently. Excellent student. Named to the Ohio Valley Workout Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
