Garren Rizzo is a 2023 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA who attends Palos Verdes. Wiry athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Two-way prospect. Right handed hitter, starts with a big gather and big pull back load, has good rhythm to his hands and stays on time well, turns his lower half hard, has some bat speed and can drive the gaps. Good athlete in the middle infield on defense, stays balanced and under control well, has a clean funnel out front and a quick release, good feel for playing defense. Works from the stretch on the mound with a high leg lift start and a full arm circle, some drop and drive lower half actions to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot with good extension out front. Upper 80's fastball topped out at 90 mph, tunneled his hard 11/5 curveball very well with his fastball and commanded both pitches well, had a dominant out working glove side and mixing his pitches well. Good student, verbal commitment to Washington. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
