Michael Gupton is a 2022 OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Rolesville. Compact tightly wound athletic build. Exceptional runner, 5.96 in the sixty, has a different speed on the baseball field that only a few in all of baseball can match, highest level track star when not on the baseball field. Attacks the ball aggressively in the outfield, obvious range in all directions, gets rid of the ball quickly on his throws with some carry and accuracy. Right handed hitter, gets coiled well on his back side, short and quick swing with a line drive swing plane, showed a very accurate barrel with some jump in batting practice, tended to get anxious on early to his front side in the games, projects as a hitter. Unique prospect due to his unprecedented speed. Excellent student, verbally committed to North Carolina State. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
