Anthony (Tony) Robie is a 2019 RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Grand Prairie, TX who attends Lake Ridge High School. Extra-large, broad shouldered build with present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a leg lift up past belt with a hip turn at the top; full arm action through the back working to an extended three-quarters release point. Generates plane to fastball and attacked hitters while showing quickness to arm stroke; topped out at 88 mph and filled the zone, shows running life to either side of the plate. Occasionally gets misdirected with lower half mechanics down the mound. Missed bats with fastball and pitched mostly off it, flashed an 11-5 shaped curveball up to 72 mph, slows arm action slightly at release. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
