Nathan Beckley is a 2021 C/RHP/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Aliso Viejo, CA who attends San Clemente. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. 7.05 runner in the sixty. Has good agility and quickness in his lower half on defense behind the plate, sound overall fundamentals, gets rid of the ball quickly and cleanly on his throws, shows leadership abilities at the catching position. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a coiled load with a wrapped barrel start, has quick hands and consistently got the barrel into the zone on time with some whip, aggressive hitter with barreled up the ball in games with solid pull to mid field contact. Also pitched, compact catcher's arm action from a slow paced simple delivery. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, showed nice depth to a curveball and a workable change up for a secondary pitcher, threw strikes with all three pitches. High energy "gamer" type who is going to play above his tools and make his teammates better players. Very good student.
