2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Ashton Magorrian is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from St Cloud, FL who attends Harmony. Tall, physical build. Good runner, ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, under control actions, breaks down and fields the ball off to the side with one hand. Developing true feel for the leather, good arm strength on display with carry to the bag, recorded throws up to 86 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup delivery, side step into a high leg lift, full arm circle in the back to a higher release point. Fastball has carry up in the zone, ran it up to 84 mph. Manipulates the shape of the breaking ball in the mid-70s (2077 RPM). Worked with a quick tempo and pounded the zone. Right-handed hitter, high hands and back elbow in the stance with a wide base, sprays liners to both sides. Long barrel path through the zone, showed easy impact when timed up. Good student. Named to 2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
