Joel Eason is a 2018 OF/RHP, 2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Academy At The Lakes. Medium frame with long limbs and room to fill out while adding strength. Primary outfielder with a full arm action through the back. Deliberate actions with short steps to the ball. Developing arm strength and fields the ball well out in front. Secondary righthanded pitcher who graded out best on the mound. Balanced delivery with a leg lift up to the belt. Good drive off the backside and threw from a three-quarter arm slot. Loose arm action and could throw his 11/5 curveball for strikes. The curveball had short life to it. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Elastic hand load with a short stride into contact. Line drive swing plane with a multi-pieced shift into his swing. Can create line drive contact and looks to get extended out in front through the point of contact. Good student.
