Nick Salas is a 2020 SS/2B/OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Bakersfield, CA who attends Highland. Medium athletic build with some present strength. 6.99 runner, very light on his feet on defense, consistently moving to and through the baseball, has athletic balance and body control, makes difficult plays on the run and can play with flair and confidence, enough arm strength to stay in the middle infield, stood out in games. Right handed hitter, upright narrow stance, late hand drop load but has quick enough hands to work through it, consistent hard pull line drive contact, swings hard and is looking to impact the ball, advanced hand/barrel coordination. Very interesting middle infield prospect. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Cal State Bakersfield. Named to the NorCal Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
