Nolan Norris is a 2023 1B/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from West Monroe, LA who attends West Monroe. Medium, square shouldered frame with a lean, projectable build and has room to grow throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, takes longer strides off the bag and shows balance on the charge, compact arm action with inconsistent release, arm strength will continue to develop. Moves well to the ball in the outfield, fields it out front, similar short and compact arm action, strides on line through the ball with crow hop, best accuracy to home plate. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a wide and even base with a high hand set and lower back elbow in the box; utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing at the plate. Shows a long swing path through the zone with extension out front and balance throughout. Best when working on a linear plane and shows carry off the barrel when squared with occasional lift at point of contact, shows a handle for the barrel. Very good student.
