William Edwards is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Perry, GA who attends Perry. Tall and lean frame with room to fill and plenty of projection remaining. Ran a 7.63 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, pitches exclusively from the stretch, lifts leg to a high position before firing to the plate, stays online with his lower half down the mound, takes arm back to a long arm action up to an over the top arm slot, front side acts as a high front lever to allow for the arm to come through, works downhill with intent. Fastball topped out at 76 mph from a steep plane especially when down in the strike zone, showed the ability to locate to both sides of the plate, mixed in a sweeping curveball with 1-to-7 shape, featured a good pickoff move as well. Secondary first baseman, fields the baseball out in front bending at the waist, intent to actions with quickness off of the bag. Lefthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an upright and open stance, utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing, shifts his weight into contact well with proper lower half involvement, plenty of looseness to his hands with a present feel for the barrel.
