Jake Bruney is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Mount Paran Christian. Lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 6.89 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, athletic mover with clean hands out front, gets the ball out quick and has easy arm strength across the diamond, can change arm angles on the move, should stick up the middle. Right-handed pitcher, full wind-up with a small sidestep, balanced leg lift with a light coil, holds rotation well to foot strike, compact arm action, three-quarters release, typical four seam life with tight downer breaking ball playing well off the heater, in the zone and can eat innings at the high school level. Secondary outfielder, clean funnel off to the side, some carry to the bag with accuracy. Right-handed hitter, even base with an inward front foot, high hands off the ear, compact path with leverage and looseness in the wrists, has some bat speed and can handle the barrel. Hit really well in game with a 2-run homerun, a hard hit single off 90-mph and a double off the wall. Good projection overall. Good student. Named to the Perfect Game Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
