Ty Wilmsmeyer is a 2019 SS/3B/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Springfield, MO who attends Glendale HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.10 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with deliberate, smooth paced footwork. Centers and funnels the baseball from a slightly deeper position prior to works through transfer. Flashed some range to each side while on the run. Released from a three-quarters arm slot creating softer, accurate carry across the infield topping at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance and sweeping leg lift trigger. Lower half works to contact with rotational actions generating occasional shift. Has stay quiet at load prior to launching on a compact, direct path through extension. Flashed good bat speed and strength at contact with developing rhythm. Showed best contact when staying balanced and repeating barrel plane. Outstanding student as well.
