Peyton Woods is a 2023 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-0 193 lb. frame from Albany, LA who attends Doyle. A medium frame with strength showing in the lower half. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. A primary third baseman who showed the traits during his round of defense. Had a good feel to funnel the ball up the middle with the glove making good picks. Had a solid round of defense. Threw 84 mph across the diamond and was smooth. Kept himself in control of his body working through the funnel into his throws. A left-handed hitter with high-set hands and a high-back elbow. Used a toe-tap trigger with strength in the lower half. Starts wider with an even base. Worked pull-side with strength and intent during his round of BP. Had some quickness to his hands. Produced a 90 mph exit velocity. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a medium frame. He messed with timing, mixing in some hesitations in his leg lifts. He pounded the zone with some feel for spin showing. Changed arm angles for deception Fastball worked the lower-80s, spinning up around 2,125 RPMs. Showed two distinct breakers. A shorter slurvy breaker to miss barrels and induce swings and misses. It was up to 74 mph, spinning up to 2,224 RPMs. Also showed a breaking ball with a more vertical curveball that had some bite to it. Up to 67 mph on it. Punched out 2 hitters over an inning of work.
