William English is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Taylor, MI who attends Western International HS. Long and lean athletic build, broad shoulders, projects well physically. 7.00 runner, shows lots of athleticism in the outfield, works through the ball with confidence and solid footwork, compact arm action, has arm strength and makes on line, accurate throws. Right handed hitter, open upright stance, simple leg lift load and timing, long and strong swing, gets extended out front and looks to drive and lift the ball, has bat speed but will need more consistent square contact. Also pitched and has two way potential, young delivery mechanics with limited lower half use but has a very loose arm a very good raw arm speed. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, maintained arm speed well on his curveball and change up, just needs some instruction and repetitions on the mound to make a leap forward. Interesting athlete who will keep improving in all areas.
