Bryson Jolly is a 2017 C with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Gunter, TX who attends Gunter High School. Medium, athletic fame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame, strong lower half. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a sound set up behind the plate, pops out of the crouch well and gains short ground with lower half, fuller arm action through the back and gets to an high release point, gets on top of ball, quick arm and shows carry out of the hand, 2.00 best pop, projects with continued incorporation of lower half. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Does a nice job of getting closed at point of contact with a long stride moving in, upper body dominant swing but shows quickness to hands and ability to turn on inner half pitch. Some uphill to bat path and looks to create lift, gets the barrel to the ball and shows sound mechanics with the lower half. Very good student.
