Banks Hyde is a 2020 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Columbus, MS who attends Heritage Academy. Slender young athletic build. 7.00 runner, has soft hands and fields the ball well with good balance, can be more aggressive moving through the ball, has good arm strength for his age and gets carry on his throws, arm projects well. Right handed hitter, tends to stride open with his front side from an upright stance, downward swing plane, spray contact to all fields. Also pitched, graded out higher as a pitcher at this event. Short and quick arm circle with a high 3/4's arm slot, slow paced delivery with good drive to the plate. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, showed the ability to throw it to spots with intent, can get his fastball to both sides of the plate. Has good feel for his curveball and can also throw it to spots, flashes good depth at times. Works quickly and fills up the strike zone. Good student.
