Francois Castillo is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lake View HS. Power pitcher's build, very strong lower half. Calm delivery with very good direction, keeps it simple, pause and gathers at the top of his leg lift, has some recoil in his release at times abut doesn't impact his command, will show some flair with glove flutters and hesitations at times, has impressive overall body control. Very stead fastball velocity up to 92 mph, maintains velocity from the stretch, mostly straight, pounds the strike zone with his fastball and works ahead. Curveball was between 73 and 77 mph, showed much tighter spin and sharper break at higher velocities, also filled up the zone with his curveball and will double or triple up with it at times. Converted third baseman who was very impressive in Jupiter in October and followed up well here. Right handed hitter who will show his strength and power potential at times.
