Mason Raines is a 2018 OF with a 5-9 172 lb. frame from Panama City, FL who attends A. Crawford Mosley HS. Medium build, athletic frame with a high waist and present physical strength. Ran a 7.06 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, really looks part with good footwork to the baseball, fields the ball out in front, fluid exchange to a clean release, loose arm action with average arm strength and accuracy to the bag, topped out at 82 mph from the outfield. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch, long arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, gets some extension out front, could get more drive from back leg, works against frontside, threw lots of strikes, could develop offspeed pitch for added effectiveness. Lefthanded hitter, wide base with a slightly open stance, high hand set with a high back elbow, direct hand path to the baseball with some quickness, generates some bat speed, sprayed line drives to all fields during round.
