Jackson Petisce is a 2022 3B/RHP, SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Methuen, MA who attends Methuen. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, stays low on the approach to the ball, fields it out front, glove tap with an extra step into release, shows quick feet moving up the middle, sound transfer and quick out of glove. Also pitched, coiled at top of delivery, high take back into a compact arm action, works to a three-quarters release point. Works around the zone, fastball topped out at 79 mph and creates some deception, heavy life down in the zone; tends to lower slot on release of breaking ball with horizontal break up to 67 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Gets on plane well and shows quickness to hands, shows strength off the barrel when squared. Projects with additional lower half incorporated into shift, stays compact with swing and shows present bat speed, tools to improve upon. Very good student.
