Peter Rodriguez is a 2019 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-3 228 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Paloma Valley. Extra large frame with broad shoulders and strength in build. Ran a 7.62 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery moving into a high leg lift above the waist. Full arm action in the back through an extended three-quarters slot release that can drop down some to a lower three-quarter slot. Lives down in the zone with the fastball getting on top well and creating plane to the plate at 84 miles per hour. Mixes between a 10-to-4 curveball with depth and a flatter slider from the lower arm slot. Will also go to a fading changeup at times. Mixes pitches well and induces weak contact. Also worked out defensively as a secondary infielder. Fields the ball out front with some stiffness in hands. Can throw across from multiple slots with carry at 80 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a spread and open stance. Short swing the ball pulling the barrel through the zone. Strength in hands at point of contact. Can create some jump off the barrel when squared up.
