Ethan McMonagle is a 2020 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Pottstown, PA who attends Pottsgrove HS. Recorded a 5.09 second 40-yard dash time. Large lanky frame with long limbs and lots of room for added strength. Primary shortstop with clean funnels and transfers to the throwing hand. Good glove hand actions with arm strength recorded up to 79 mph. Gets on top of the ball well with online, accurate throws and good fluidity to actions. Arm strength and athleticism play well from secondary position of outfield. Righthanded hitter with some hand quickness, a line drive swing plane and approach. Small stride forward and finds some barrels. Collapses backside early and will benefit from more balance for future power projection. Good student.
