2016 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Chase Griffin is a 2018 SS/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Providence, RI who attends Moses Brown High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted an impressive 6.84 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, funneled to field, moved well to the ball, ability to change slots, with raw arm strength across the diamond. At the plate, started with a wide base, crouched stance, stiff hand load, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Showed quick hands through the zone, ability to get on and match plane, with raw bat speed. Worked all fields well and will continue to see bat improve with additional strength.
