Tate Strickland is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Harrison. Long and lean high waisted athletic build, tons of physical projection remaining. Full hands over head delivery, clean and loose arm circle in back with big arm speed coming through. Fastball worked mostly in the upper 80's, topped out at 92 mph early, lots more fastball velocity there as he fills in and gets stronger, very high spin rate fastball. Slider was an outstanding pitch at times, sharp biting action when he's behind it, got consistent swing/miss on the slider. Change up flashed potential with nice tunneled arm speed. High ceiling young arm who will keep improving. 6.67 runner in the sixty. Showed his arm strength very well in workouts. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a very deep hand load, big stride into contact, downhill swing plane. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Tennessee.
