2018 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase
Caleb Cross is a 2020 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Sanford, NC who attends Southern Lee. Medium frame with athletic build that projects, ran 60 yard dash in 7.08 seconds. Primary pitcher, full effort into delivery, hooked arm stroke through the back, short offline stride, some deception there, fastball worked 77-82 mph with some plane, worked in curveball with depth and changeup as well. Impressed most with the bat, swings the bat hard with intent, consistent leverage off of front side, timing is good, drove the ball on a line to all fields, very good hitting tools. Took defensive reps in two spots, solid defensive infielder with athleticism and good hands, clocked up to 82 mph across the diamond, also threw 81 mph from the outfield. Named to 2018 Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List, very good student.
