Hunter Koumonduros is a 2017 C with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends William B Travis HS. Large frame, athletic build with present strength but quality physical projection remaining at maturity. Right handed hitter, high hands set, whips barrel through with good bat speed. Aggressive approach, likes to get extended, at times will get out in front a bit too early, but shows quality strength with natural carry and loft off of the barrel. Power-potential in the bat, especially to the pullside. Still developing and refining finer aspects around the plate. Receives well and shows flexibility and lateral quickness. Has some disjointedness in lower-half, slight hitch and extra steps in throwing mechanics at times. Has solid arm-strength and release, should improve with some mechanical fine-tuning, popped as low as a 2.01 in defensive drills. Named to the National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
