Jared Hart is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Vista Ridge High School. Medium, athletic frame with a long and lean, projectable build with additional room to fill out moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a high leg lift up past belt, has moving parts to delivery but repeats well and remains loose. Full arm circle coming through the back side, clean stroke without much effort, works to a high three-quarters release point. Gets on top of fastball well, sat in the mid-80 and topped out at 86 mph, shows heaviness with life to arm side down in the zone. Slider shows sharpness to it out of hand at 71 mph, more depth to curveball with 1-7 shape and tight rotation. Nice pick off move to first base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Contact approach, uncoils moving into contact and occasionally gets to front side early. Loads hands back at start of swing, creates some separation out front and shows carry to the middle of the diamond when on time. Good student. Named to South Top-Top Prospect List.
