JT Files is a 2017 OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Newport HS. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; very good projection remaining on body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.73 seconds. Momentum-drive swing when hitting with good shift into contact, hands set very close to body and stay that way throughout the swing, inside-out hand path as a result. Shows some loft in swing with ability to elevate the ball into the air, will continue to develop more power with additional strength gains. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves very well to the ball with solid athleticism and speed, shows clean crow hop after fielding with quickened release, arm strength clocked up to 71 MPH. Good student.
