Marquise Williams is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Irvington, NJ who attends St. Mary's Catholic High School. Medium, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, moves to the ball with long strides ranging up the middle, quick steps charging in, longer release from a compact arm action, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy across the diamond. Lefthanded hitter, begins with wide base and higher hand set closet to ear in the box. Uses a toe tap trigger for timing, shows a short swing path to the ball and quickness to hands. Occasionally opens front side early, contact approach at the plate and shows the ability to work all fields. Good student.
