Scott Fussnecker is a 2019 C/3B/1B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Beavercreek, OH who attends Edgewood HS. Medium frame and build. Right handed hitter with a wide, slightly closed stance. Higher hand set and loads to a deep, barred position. Shows a pull side approach with a slightly lofted swing path and rotational lower half mechanics. Flashes strength and bat speed when on time. Slightly higher set behind the plate with a tendency to throw from a taller position behind the plate. Shows a slightly lower glove to hand transition with clean arm actions to second. Throws are on line with some tailing action to right of bag. Soft hands receiving behind the plate within body frame. Drives aggresively and gains some ground towards the baseball while blocking. Young actions behind the plate that will develop with future maturity and fluidity. Very good student.
