Nick Sowell is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-2 183 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Monterey HS. Large frame and athletic build with signs of present strength and maturity. On the mound, right-handed pitcher that throws from a lower 3/4 arm slot. Long arm action that generates good run on the fastball. Solid arm strength for angle topping out at 80 MPH. AT first base, does a nice job of fielding the baseball out and front and made strong accurate throws across the infield. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base and a slightly open stance. Strides into load. Middle of the filed approach with solid power to all fields. Aggressive swings and developing barrel control.
