Nash McCleland is a 2018 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Klein Oak HS. Large athletic build with some present strength and more to come, fairly mature look physically. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, long and aggressive swing, some uphill path, pull side power approach with some leverage at contact, showed good timing and can impact the ball, has the potential to develop as a hitter. Runs well for his size, 7.02 in the sixty, looked more comfortable in the infield on defense than he did in the outfield, hands worked much better in the infield and he showed the ability to throw from multiple arm slots, might also play first base as he gets bigger. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a deep arm action in back, stays on line well and has athletic actions on the mound, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with some late life to it. Slider is a nice second pitch with a quick late bite to it, threw strikes. Good student.
